During my time at Omnilabs, Costa Rica, as UX Lead for wrb platforms, I worked on Moniflow, a financial product focused on enabling fast and secure remittances between the United States and Central America.
The main challenge was designing a web experience capable of driving user enrollment while building trust and clearly communicating the product's value. We also adapted the tone and messaging to a Central American audience, incorporating the natural mix of Spanish and English commonly used across the region.
Working alonside product, business, and development teams, we created an experience focused on acquisition, clarity, and conversion, helping strengthen Moniflow's presence across Central America and increase app downloads.
My main objective was to consolidate Omnilabs' web experience into a product like Moniflow, understanding the cultural and digital context of Costa Rica and Central America. As UX Lead, I worked alongside product, business, and development teams, defining a strategic plan, prioritizing initiatives, and supporting the team throughout every stage of the project. I also led the creation of user flows, journey maps, and user testing sessions to validate decisions and optimize the overall platfom experience.
Writing - I promoted the definition of a brand voice and content guidelines aligned with the Central Amercian audience, incorporating communication patterns and expressions closer to the Spanglish commonly used between users in the United States and Centra America. The goal was to create clearer, more human, and approachable communication throughout the product.
UX Deisgn - I led the design of responsive web and mobile experiences, ensuring consistency across interfaces, components, and visual interactions. In parallel, I drove the creation of a scalable design system intended not only for Moniflow, but alto as a foundation for future Omnilabs digital products.
Through the website, new features and functionalities were introduced, helping users better understand the platform and more clearly communicate the process of sending and receiving remittances between the United States and Central America. This contributed to expanding Moniflow's reach beyond Costa Rica and strengthening its presence across new regional markets.
App downloads through the website increased by approximately 35%, drive by an experience focused on clarity, trust, and conversion through App Store and Google Play redirections.
In addition, the platform achieved a 20% increase in new user adoption within the app, strengthening early engagement and product usage.
