MODO is a digital payment platform that started integrating with multiple Argentine banks, creating strong competition between financial institutions to achieve one of the first large-scale integrations within the country’s banking ecosystem. At Banco Galicia, my challenge was collaborating on how to adapt and integrate the MODO experience within the bank’s existing app while maintaining visual and functional consistency across its digital products.
Within a very small team, we rapidly iterated on QR and NFC experiences while facing technical, product and visual consistency limitations.
As the project evolved, I participated in defining new interfaces, visual improvements and experience optimizations that helped simplify complex processes and make digital payments more accessible to users unfamiliar with these technologies.
My main objective was to collaborate on creating an intuitive and user-friendly experience that encouraged users to adopt MODO within Banco Galicia’s app, simplifying QR and NFC payment interactions while ensuring these new functionalities coexisted naturally with the bank’s existing digital products.
I also contributed to the product’s visual evolution by introducing microinteractions and JSON-based animations, alongside new interface definitions that improved clarity, perceived fluidity and the overall in-app experience.
Banco Galicia became the first bank to achieve a large-scale MODO integration within Argentina’s banking ecosystem.
I participated in the evolution of new QR and NFC payment functionalities that helped drive adoption and user enrollment within the platform.
Improvements through microinteractions and JSON-based animations not only optimized digital payment flows, but later evolved into other products and experiences across Banco Galicia’s ecosystem.
I contributed to adapting the Design System to support new functionalities and interaction patterns related to digital payments.
